Who we are

Henry Mooney - Founder & Head Coach
Henry Mooney has helped to bring a diverse community together through sport.
Known for his work establishing and running the Toxteth Tigers Basketball Programme,
Henry was one of the original playing members when the club formed in 1967.
He now holds the position of Head Coach and Secretary.
Toxteth Tigers have continued to thrive in the local community,
competing in local leagues and providing opportunities for countless
young people. The programme has become a model of good practice throughout
the country in working with disaffected young people who, through
the sport of basketball, have successfully developed social and life
skills.
